Woodwind Lakes is a beautiful wooded community of 630 homes located in Northwest Houston near US 290 and Beltway 8. HCMUD 261 manages the the beautiful wooded community of Woodwind Lakes that makes up Sections 1, 2 and 3.

Harris County Municipal Utility District 261 is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board consists of five Directors which have control over the management and supervision of all affairs of the District. All directors reside within the District.
